The Utah Tech Trailblazers begin play in the Big Sky Conference in 2026, and every game on their schedule streams on ESPN+ — all nine conference contests plus the three non-conference dates, including the trip to Big 12 member BYU. Which Utah Tech Trailblazers games are worth watching in 2026?
The Trailblazers do not ease into their new league. Montana State comes to Greater Zion Stadium on August 29 for the Red Rumble Game, meaning Utah Tech's Big Sky debut arrives against the conference's most consistent national contender in the very first week. A trip to Provo follows on September 5, where BYU hosts in front of more than 60,000 at LaVell Edwards Stadium — the only game all year against an FBS opponent and the biggest crowd the Trailblazers will see. Then comes another Big Sky heavyweight on the road, with a September 12 visit to Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, one of the loudest venues in the FCS.
The date circled locally is October 3, when Southern Utah visits St. George for the Battle for the Ax. The in-state rivals made the jump from the UAC to the Big Sky together, so the series carries into a new league without missing a beat, and the 8:00 PM ET kickoff gives it a proper Saturday night feel. Halloween brings the Dark Mode Game against Idaho State, and Homecoming lands November 14 against Eastern Washington. The regular season closes with a short trip north to Ogden, where Weber State hosts a Utah matchup that has real history behind it and now counts in the conference standings.
