The Citadel Bulldogs compete in the Southern Conference, and eleven of their twelve games in 2026 stream on ESPN+ — the entire eight-game SoCon slate plus the non-conference dates against Charlotte, Charleston Southern and South Carolina State. The exception is the October 17 trip to Texas A&M, which falls under the SEC's television agreement and will air on SEC Network or another ESPN channel. Which The Citadel Bulldogs games are worth watching in 2026?
Two dates carry the season, and they could not be more different. October 17 sends the Bulldogs to Kyle Field, where Texas A&M hosts more than 100,000 — the largest crowd The Citadel will play in front of and the only game all year with a linear television window. Then on November 14 comes the Military Classic of the South at VMI, the meeting of the country's two remaining state military colleges, played for the Silver Shako. It is one of the most distinctive rivalries in college football and the game that means most inside the corps of cadets.
Closer to home, September 12 brings the Lowcountry Boil Bowl against Charleston Southern to Johnson Hagood Stadium, a crosstown series between two programs whose campuses sit barely ten miles apart, doubling as Military Appreciation night. The season opens on the road at Wofford in a SoCon opener for both sides, and the conference home slate builds toward Homecoming against Furman on November 7. October 24 brings a first: Tennessee Tech visits Charleston as a brand-new SoCon member, arriving off an 11-win season in the OVC, in a game the Bulldogs have designated Senior Day.
