The Samford Bulldogs compete in the Southern Conference, and nearly every game on their 2026 schedule streams on ESPN+ — all eight SoCon contests plus the non-conference dates against North Alabama, Southern Illinois and crosstown UAB. The exception is the November 21 finale at Auburn, which runs on SEC Network+. Which Samford Bulldogs games are worth watching in 2026?
Samford stays close to home for its biggest dates. October 3 sends the Bulldogs across town to face UAB, a crosstown meeting between two Birmingham programs on opposite sides of the FBS-FCS line, and the season closes November 21 at Jordan-Hare Stadium against Auburn in front of more than 85,000. Before either of those comes the neutral-site opener in Huntsville against North Alabama on August 29 — an all-Alabama matchup between FCS programs, and the first game of the John Grass era after a difficult 1-11 season.
Conference play opens in unusual company. Tennessee Tech hosts Samford on September 12 in the Golden Eagles' first year as a SoCon member, arriving off an 11-win campaign in the OVC. The most consequential home date is probably October 17 against Mercer, a perennial league contender, under the lights at Pete Hanna Stadium. Halloween brings Wofford to town for another night game, and Homecoming falls November 14 against Western Carolina — a series that produced a 47-42 shootout the last time the Catamounts visited.
