The North Alabama Lions compete in the United Athletic Conference, and nearly every game on their 2026 schedule streams on ESPN+ — all seven UAC contests plus the non-conference dates against Samford, Southeastern Louisiana, Alcorn State and Western Illinois. The exception is the September 5 trip to Arkansas, which falls under the SEC's television agreement and will air on SEC Network or another ESPN channel. Which North Alabama Lions games are worth watching in 2026?
September 19 is the date that matters most in Florence. Alcorn State visits for the grand opening of Bobby Wallace Field at Bank Independent Stadium, the first new home the program has had since 1949 and the end of a 77-year run at Braly Municipal Stadium. Two weeks before that comes the biggest payday of the year: a trip to Fayetteville to face SEC member Arkansas in front of more than 70,000 at Razorback Stadium, the only game on the schedule with a linear television window. The season also opens on neutral ground in Huntsville against Samford, the first meeting between the two Alabama programs since 2002.
Conference play delivers a demanding home stretch in October, with three straight at the new stadium against West Florida, Abilene Christian and Austin Peay. Abilene Christian arrives as a UAC co-champion and FCS playoff team, and Austin Peay is coming off a 7-5 season, so those two weekends will show quickly whether the Lions can climb the table. The regular season ends at home on November 21 against Tarleton State — the other team that shared the 2025 UAC title — a fitting way to close the first year in a new building.
