Which Michigan Wolverines games are worth watching in 2026?
September 12 is the first real test of the Whittingham era. Oklahoma comes to Ann Arbor for a Maize Out in the FOX Big Noon window, completing a home-and-home between two of the sport's winningest programs and arriving with genuine Playoff stakes on both sides. The season then ends where it always does: The Game at Ohio Stadium on November 28 at noon on FOX, the most-watched regular-season game in college football most years. Michigan won four straight in the series from 2021 through 2024 before losing 27-9 at home last fall, so this trip to Columbus carries a lot.
The Big Ten slate is loaded at Michigan Stadium. Homecoming on October 17 brings Penn State, and Indiana follows a week later on Parents Weekend — back-to-back home games against teams that have shaped the league's top tier. Michigan State visits November 7 for the Paul Bunyan Trophy on Military Appreciation day, and a week later the Wolverines make the long trip to Autzen Stadium to face Oregon, the toughest road environment on the calendar. The opener is worth a note too: a 7:30 PM kickoff on NBC marks the third consecutive year Michigan has started its season at home in the network's primetime slot.
