Which Chattanooga Mocs games are worth watching in 2026?
The season finale at Bryant-Denny Stadium is the one casual fans will find first. Alabama hosts the Mocs on November 21 in front of a crowd north of 100,000, and it is the only game on the schedule that will get a proper television window rather than a stream. But the game that likely decides Chattanooga's season comes two weeks earlier, when defending SoCon champion Mercer closes out the Finley Stadium slate on November 7. The Bears have become the Mocs' most persistent obstacle in the league, and the home finale doubles as the last chance to build an at-large playoff résumé.
The non-conference slate is unusually stiff for an FCS program: Chattanooga's three non-league opponents averaged nearly nine wins apiece in 2025. The Thursday night opener at West Georgia is a first-ever meeting with a UAC program coming off an 8-3 season, and a trip to Eastern Kentucky follows two weeks later. In between, Tennessee Tech visits Finley Stadium on September 5 in a game that counts as non-conference even though the Golden Eagles begin play in the SoCon this same season — a scheduling oddity that makes the September meeting a preview rather than a league game. Conference play opens under the lights against Wofford on September 19, and the in-state trip to ETSU on October 3 renews one of the SoCon's better regional rivalries.
