The Charleston Southern Buccaneers play in the OVC-Big South Football Association, and nearly every game on their 2026 schedule streams on ESPN+ — that covers all seven conference contests plus the non-conference trips to Georgia Southern and The Citadel, since the Sun Belt and SoCon both use the same platform. The one exception is the October 17 visit to Clemson, which falls under the ACC's television agreement and will land somewhere in the ACC Network family. Which Charleston Southern Buccaneers games are worth watching in 2026?
The biggest stage of the year is October 17 at Clemson, where the Buccaneers walk into Memorial Stadium for a rare shot at an ACC program in front of more than 80,000 people. It is also the only game on the schedule that will get a real television window rather than a stream. Closer to home, September 12 brings the Lowcountry Boil Bowl at The Citadel — only the second official edition of the crosstown series, played at Johnson Hagood Stadium in a city where both campuses sit barely ten miles apart. The Bucs also head to Statesboro a week earlier for a Saturday night meeting with Sun Belt member Georgia Southern, giving them back-to-back tests against teams from a level up before conference play settles in.
South Carolina State visits Buccaneer Field on October 10 as the reigning Celebration Bowl champion, easily the toughest non-conference opponent Charleston Southern hosts all season. The week before that, Gardner-Webb comes to town for the third meeting of the North/South BBQ Bowl, which doubles as the program's Hall of Fame night. Conference play produces one genuinely unusual venue: the October 24 trip to Tennessee State is staged at Nissan Stadium, the NFL home of the Titans. The Bucs then close with a stretch of three straight at Buccaneer Field, starting with Homecoming against Western Illinois on Halloween and running through Senior Day against Southeast Missouri State.
