The Alcorn State Braves play in the SWAC, and their 2026 broadcasts are spread across three platforms. Which Alcorn State Braves games are worth watching in 2026?
The season ends with the game that matters most in Lorman. Jackson State comes to Jack Spinks – Marino Casem Stadium on November 21 for the Soul Bowl, doubling as Senior Appreciation Day and carrying the only national television window on the Braves' calendar. Before that, two dates stand out for very different reasons. September 5 sends Alcorn to Hattiesburg to face FBS Southern Miss, the first meeting since 2023 and only the fourth ever between the schools. A week later comes the 37th Southern Heritage Classic at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, where the Braves take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff in front of one of the largest crowds any SWAC team will see all year.
Two more games carry real weight in the division race. October 17 brings a trip to Prairie View A&M, the defending SWAC champion and Celebration Bowl runner-up, and November 14 sends Alcorn to Baton Rouge for the last Western Division showdown of the year against Southern. Sandwiched between is a genuine first: Florida A&M visits Lorman on November 7, the earliest recorded meeting between the two programs at Alcorn's home stadium. The Rattlers took a 33-28 decision in Tallahassee last season in what was the first meeting between them since 1982. Homecoming falls on October 10 against Arkansas Baptist, and the Halloween trip to Itta Bena renews the in-state series with Mississippi Valley State.
